What has MuSMo been up to?

MuSMo has been quite busy these days. Since the Sorrento trip, I had pushed out revision 1 of our requirements/specifications. It has gone under review by the team of developers. However, nothing solid has come out of it, yet. Simply because they are being busy with their current projects. Something that I’ve underestimated in my timeframe. The plus side is, MuSMo is still an interesting project! At the moment, I’m concentrating in close collaboration with some companies to provide a dazzling service for the media environment. It includes understanding the technology for seamless integration. Also making sure that it fits right into our plans. It might sound easy, but it isn’t when it comes to making a decision on who we want to be with, the technology to be employed and the cost implications in the long run.

The second thing that I’m working on is upgrading our current TWiki. It’s not an easy task when it comes to TWiki, it’s a beautiful beast that isn’t easily tamed. Also, I am preparing the developer zone for MuSMo, where tasks, progress, bugs and documentations are collected in this great application! Full review next time. :)

Last but not least, continually refinement of our preparation and planning for it is vital for us. This would include monitoring industrial news, hear out on latest tips and tricks, ideas, thoughts, criticism, and technology that somehow relate to us or can be use to our advantage. Am also reviewing and testing out various softwares and environments.

Lots to do still! I will post back again for any updates in the weeks to come. A sidenote, I’ve successfully fine-tuned the current server to handle additional load! Good news for me because I’ve learnt additional skills as a system administrator. :)
